Historic buildings and hundred year old trees stand next to modern orchards and vineyards. A fixture on the East Medford landscape since 1897, Hillcrest Orchard is one of the oldest continuously owned family orchards in the Rogue Valley. The area known as Hillcrest Orchard was first settled in 1853 with the first trees being planted in 1897. The Parsons family became sole owners of Hillcrest Orchard in 1908 and have maintained this beautiful site ever since. Some of the original Comice and Bosc trees still remain productive. Modern plantings of pears have replaced many of the less productive older blocks. Vineyards at Hillcrest Orchard raise winegrapes for premium Rogue Valley wines. Pears, apples, and peaches are sold seasonally along with other items at our Historic Barn.
Fruit stand opens about August 15 through Mid February.
Hours vary so call ahead.
